Good news and bad at The Washington Post
The good news:
The Washington Post
named Katharine Weymouth Publisher
and CEO of Washington Post Media She's of the Graham family one of the most highly respected journalism guardian families in the country. The paper is in good hands.
The bad news: In the same article, the
Post
announced job cuts that include the newsroom.
I for one fantasized that the newspaper woes of our era couldn't reach the prime newspapers in the country. After all, a
Michigan Daily
alumn told me that while every other newspaper is cutting costs,
The New York Times
is hiring. I guess that's over, at least for the
Post
.
